A blood moon is a spectacular total lunar eclipse and we will be able to see one in exactly 24 hours!! :dancer:

Depending on your location, a partial lunar eclipse begins May 15 at 10:28 p.m. EDT (0228 GMT on May 16). The Blood Moon will reach its peak at 12:11 a.m. EDT (0411 GMT) on May 16 before the lunar eclipse ends at 1:55 a.m. EDT (0555 GMT). The penumbral moon phase of the eclipse will begin about an hour earlier and end about an hour after the partial eclipse, according to TimeandDate.com.

It will a spectacular sight!! :geek:

I wrote a piece celebrating it entitled... you guessed it... Blood Moon. 🌘🌑🌒
No need to wait until tomorrow, you can enjoy it right here, right now! :)

Hah, I forgot to look. I have a clear and pristine view of the moon from my desk too
...Is there a plugin for my DAW that can rewind time?

The Italian media announced it. But since they are accustomed to just translate as they can the American news, they simply omitted that the event would have happened, in Italy, after moonset…

In Portsmouth, England, we had a massive thunder storm through much of the night, with heavy rain even after the lightening finished.

So, no chance to view the blood moon, but a great opportunity for animating recycled body parts into Boris Karloff.

Well at the appropriate time it was a bit hazy here in NYC. I looked up in the sky and I didn’t see the moon then about 90 minutes later I looked up & finally saw the moon but by then it looked totally normal………sigh.
Maybe tomorrow night i will get lucky 🤞

Good luck with the weather!

The Moon looked really large here in Wales, bit before the eclipse, it got really cloudy so was unable to see it.
it’s very, very rare I post tracks here, but I love everything about the moon and was inspired to write this track. I’m semi proud of it, but more proud of the fact my Daughter took her first picture of the moon which became the cover pict for the track.

guys, it only happens the once. If you missed it, you missed it. There is another one on the 8th Nov. this year though....

That's what I thought initially.

The chances of clear skys here in November aren't great, but it definitely couldn't be worse.

That's a great track, some really interesting sounds and it evolves in interesting ways. I'm on my phone now, so I'll have to listen again later on proper speakers.

Your daughter's picture is terrific. She can be justly proud of capturing that!
