Logic Pro Low latency mode: I could need some help

I have a problem understanding parts of the Logic low latency mode. I understand the basics behind it and so far it works very well. The only problem: It seems, that when I activate the low latency mode, only the main outputs of my Apogee interface (Output 1 and 2) are active, but the signal isn´t routed to the headphone outputs. This seems to be a feature (or a bug) in Logic as it (presumably) only addresses the main outputs when switching to low latency mode. I can switch my headphones within the Apogee software to receive a signal from output 1 and 2 but this a little workflow disruptive.
Is there any workaround or do I have to accept it as it is? Any help from one of the Logic affinados would be highly appreciated.
Thank you very much

Found a workaround (YouTube is your friend) using the sends which can be assigned to different outputs. Via "send to fader" you can produce a very nice headphone mix which also works in low latency mode.
