Hybrid Underscore Drums Tutorial?

Does anyone know any good resources for learning to create hybrid underscore drum loops?

I've got a project to create music for a documentary and there are a few rhythm beds in 8dio Hybrid Tools Vol 1 I could use but I've got time and want to create something from scratch.

From listening to the type of music I guess it would go something like this?

Create acoustic/ vintage drum kit loop (kick, snare, closed & open high hat) > distort > compress > saturate > bitcrush > limit > filter

I've searched all over YouTube and can only find guides for creating epic hybrid drum kits.

That was awesome! Thanks for sharing. It looks like I might be able to get closer to 'that' sound by using a Vocoder, I'd never considered that before.

Mr Henson seems to do a lot of hybrid style underscoring so I will definitely make sure to peruse his channel for more sources of inspiration.

By the way, when I say hybrid I mean an orchestral/ modern synth mix.
