Cymbal stand for BopPad recommendation

I'm in the mood for a cymbal stand with a standard 8mm nut to use for my Keith McMillen BopPad percussion controller.

It should be good, fast, and a large canary (CHEAP).

Actually, the last part is why I'm asking the question, because a heavy-duty thing that takes up lots of room isn't what I need. It's unlikely I'll ever move it out of my room, so ease of setup and so on aren't important.

TIA

Maybe an Ergotron Desk Tablet Arm ?...

I appreciate the thought, but there are several reasons why it would be suboptimal.

The first is that the BopPad is designed to screw onto a standard $25 - $75 max cymbal stand with a standard 8mm thread.

But the bigger issue is that monitor arms aren't designed to support a pad being hit repeatedly, they're designed to hold monitors. They won't stand up to it, especially that old Ergotron design (I had one here that cracked while I was evaluating LCD arms; the Innovative ones are a lot better and far less clunky).
