Does freezing multiple tracks in Logic increase the chance of errors/pushing the cpu too hard etc? Do you freeze one track at a time? If multiple is there a number you would tend not to go above? I’m on. 2021 M1 Macbook Pro max

Can't remember how to do this. I'm in Logic. Working to a piece of film that has a 2 pop at the beginning of the file, which is 2 seconds before the start of picture. There's no visual time code on the picture, and I don't know if there's embedded time code or not? Or if there is such a thing...

I do do that (when I remember to :)) the trick is when working I keep things around until the job is done just in case I need them, and as a result those files tend be quite big.

For the record, adlous very kindly took a look at a project file for me and the bloat is largely coming from Kontakt and Opus instances. I have tons of Kontakt instances, Opus less so they're more for sketching... The instances range from a meg or so to 11ish. It adds up fast.

This sounds like Kontakt may be the cause. I tend to use it a lot and i bet there are a hundred instances here, though many unloaded so perhaps not that many. I’d love to know if that’s the case. Maybe I could impose on you at some point to send you one of these Project-Data files to see...

Quick check here. When I close or open the side pane (used to be called Browser in Kontakt) and then close the instrument and then reopen it, the side pane doesn't retain whatever state I set it to. It goes back to whatever state it was last left in standalone. Weird. Never used to to do this...

Corey have the original app for assigning midi channels with the Fdrcntrl and it still seems to work fine. (i’m on an m1 mac now) i had long wanted an app that would allow for creating of sets of midi channels. do you know of any that were ever used with the fdrcntrl?

Would also love to hear if anyone here is using amplesound instruments on an m1 mac and not seeing bad cpu spikes. I’m always ready to hear that my mac is a lemon and i should throw it out the window and start over. :)

I’ve experienced odd behavior reverse to this, typing in Kontakt 7 invokes key commands in Logic. Had the same thing happening in the new ik multimedia tonex plug-in. it seems to have stopped in both cases so probably operator error (my specialty) but if it helps…
