You need the app to update the firmware. On my iPhone 14, I dl the app, connected to the device, initiated the firmware update and it just worked. To connect it to my Mac, I opened up the Audio Midi Setup app, selected bluetooth, selected Widi Master, and it paired immediately with no issues.

I had a knee jerk reaction to the score and I was not initially impressed with it. But then I watched many of the behind the scenes videos and just seeing the thought that went into the score, well, I have to say I am a convert. For me it's right up there with Inception and Interstellar

Exactly, I thougt I was happy in Logic Land, until I started to really do a deep dive into what Bitwig can do. It just clicked for me, and is my main DAW. On the rare occasion I have to do any video scoring, I just hop back into Logic and do my thing.

And if you're paying full price for a Bitwig update, than you're doing it wrong. You wait until it goes on sale and save yourself some money. And no one is ever forcing you to purchase an update. If you're happy with the feature set that Bitwig has in your current version, just wait until...

On the flip side of that, Waves charges you A LOT of money to update their plugins with very little added features, if at all over their product line. Bitwig will give you 2-3 updates a year with new features added. There a huge difference.

I wanted to become a conductor so I've taken lessons on all western classical orchestral instruments. I mained double reeds. And in no specific order: Oboe D'Amore, English Horn, Alto Flute, Bassoon, Cello. I also have a bunch of "folk" wind instruments that are a hoot to play.

That's relatively cheap though consider how much classical metal flutes cost. I have an intermediate flute that I got on clearance because that specific model was being discontinued and it still cost well over $1,000. I do Colonial American music, and my wooden fife cost me around $400.

I just received an email from AAS on Monday saying that they're ditching 32 bit versions, and all their plugs run with M1 support. There's updates for everything. They also said that theres no more testing on Windows 7 and Yosemite and prior OS.

Why would I demo, if I own it? Even on the Soundmorph website, there is an error in the download links, so I couldn't even reinstall it if I wanted to. Also, the world of Mac is much different than the world of Windows. I'm glad you're able to get it to work. It does not on my system.

I have the most current version of Dust, and it's just not working in Catalina/Logic/Bitwig. Don't waste your time, there are many other apps out there that work.

I went to an 88 key controller during my college years for use in my music degree. I sold it and downgraded to a 61 key controller. Biggest mistake ever. Having those 88 keys are just a godsend, if not for the fact that you can actually use keyswitches without having to hit octave buttons.
